Deep Basin Area

In 2014, Long Run established its Deep Basin core area through two strategic acquisitions, creating a third core development area primarily focused on Cardium light oil and liquids-rich natural gas. The Deep Basin area is comprised of the Pine Creek and Wapiti producing regions.

Pine Creek
The Pine Creek region is characterized by high-quality, liquids-rich natural gas and light oil production from the Cardium formation and liquids-rich natural gas production from the Mannville interval.

Wapiti
The Wapiti region is divided into the Kakwa and Wapiti properties which are predominantly focused on Cardium liquids-rich natural gas production. The reservoir is predictable and well-defined with abundant existing vertical well control. Furthermore, the relatively uniform thickness and porosity of this zone lends itself well to horizontal drilling with repeatable results.

Long Run also has additional prospects in the region, notably the Falher, Cadotte and Dunvegan formations at Kakwa and the Belly River formation at Wapiti.
